Q. I was thinking about getting an Android tablet, like a Honeycomb or Android 2.1, but if I don't get 3G service, I have no idea how you would get billed for apps. With a nook or an iPad, you just can use gift cards, but I have never seen an Android gift card. Do you get a bill in the mail, or online? I'm just confused.
A. You get billed the same way you get billed on any Android device, Google Market. Whenever you first open the market, you have to set up a Google Market account which becomes linked with your GMail account so that you don't have to pay for the same apps if you have to wipe or get a different device. Google Market uses your credit or debit cards to pay for things.
Do android phone apps work on android tablets?
Q. I'm getting a BlackBerry PlayBook and I'm looking forward to getting the android player in February. I was wondering if it's even going to be worth it because I've been reading that there are very few android tablet apps. I was hoping it works like iPad where iPhone apps are still playable on the iPad.
A. Yes u can play every app on android tablets. I don't know with which android version it runs but the latest tablet versions are always supported. There are a few apps which aren't OPTIMISED for your android os but all of them should work. There do are sometimes apps which won't work on several devices but that could happen with any proper phone too.
