Can I connect my Android tablet 2 my Android phone to get internet?

Q. can I connect the 2 with a cord Of some sort so that I can get internet access from my phone which has unlimited everything to my Wifi only android Tablet????

A. If your Android phone has internet connection from sim then you can do that stuff, just by converting your android phone to wifi hotspot,

on your Android phone do this stuff
goto
Setting-> Wireless and network settings -> Thethering and portable hosts- > select portable wifi hotspot.
now your android phone will act as wifi spot. for more security you can change setting of wifi hotspot.

Now use ur tablet to connect to wifi spot of your android phone

Is there a way to connect my Android tablet to my laptop's internet without WiFi?
Q. I just got an Android tablet but I don't have WiFi on my laptop and the tablet needs to be connected to the internet to download apps.

A. There are special hubs you can buy nowadays to broadcast a wifi signal from usb port , specifically for android /tablets/ ipad etc.

But, check this out instead: http://androidforums.com/hero-tips-tricks/27685-guide-using-your-laptop-internet-connection.html

Also check this: http://www.androidcentral.com/android-101-copy-files-your-storage-card-windows
You can download them from https://market.android.com/ using your google account, and copy the files over. (I haven't tested it, but according to google searches it is possible).

how to make an android tablet a wifi hotspot?
Q. I received an android tablet(i bought online) yesterday. I powered up the battery to 100% and it works well, the wifi connection was good, run fast. The question is I heard that the android tablet can be setup as a wifi htspot and i dont know how. is someone here who can help?
thank u.

A. i got an android tablet from likedigi.com and i encountered the same problem wiht you. Then they email me with the follow steps and the problem had been solved.
you could have a look and try this out:
1.Tap the time in the lower-right corner of the System Bar at the Home screen to open "Status Details."

2.Tap "Status Details," then "Settings," then "Wireless & networks," then "Tethering & portable hotspot" to reach the "Tethering & portable hotspot" menu.

3.Tap "Portable Wi-Fi hotspot" to turn your tablet into a hotspot. If this is the first time you've enabled this option your tablet will broadcast an open-access network that anyone can connect to so you should go ahead and change the hotspot settings to make the network secure.

4.Tap "Portable Wi-Fi hotspot settings" from the "Tethering & portable hotspot" menu.

5.Tap "Configure Wi-Fi hotspot."

6.Type a name for the hotspot in the "SSID" text box.

7.Tap an option to enable security if you want to. Since an open-access network is available
to anybody you should enable this option. Tap the "Security" menu to select the WPA2 security setting, then you can type in whatever password you want for the network.

8.Tap "Save" to finish setup.

Difference between the Apple Ipad and the Android Tablet?
Q. I saw the episode of Extreme Couponing where she was using an Ipad during shopping. I think she used a program called Numbers on it but I'm not sure. The Android Tablet is much cheaper than the Ipad. What's the differences between the two? Also, can the Android Tablet connect to wifi?

A. The difference between the two is that they have a different operating system, although they are very similar, there are some android tablets that can connect to wifi but not all of them do.

What is a android tablet and what does it do?
Q. Simply, what does an android tablet do and what can you use it for? Also what can like go on it?

A. A tablet is a type of PC, but it is in a compact 'slate' form that doesn't include keyboard, mouse, DVD drive and other extra parts that only add to size and cost.

Tablets are in short specifically made for consuming content - that means watching movies, surfing the net, checking emails, playing games and reading e-books and other documents.

They are light and compact so you can easily slip them into your bag.

Rather than a mouse you just touch the screen where you want to make a selection. This can make typing a lot a little difficult, but for the odd email they're fine and great for games.

One of the best things about Android is that you can download thousands of free apps, applications, that allow you to do almost anything - games, calendars, keeping fit, music players, e-book readers; you can get apps for almost anything and generally as I said they are free.

You can also download music and movies and put them on your memory card and then watch them.

If you connect to the internet with Wifi you can even use the net for free and make skype calls for free etc.

I buy my tablets from Virtual village - they have a wide range of sizes from 5 to 10 inch tablets - I would go for larger sizes such as 10 inch if possible as they are clearer when it comes to watching movies.

Check them out here:

Their prices are low and delivery is fast, so give them a try!

How do you get billed for apps on a WiFi android tablet?

Q. I was thinking about getting an Android tablet, like a Honeycomb or Android 2.1, but if I don't get 3G service, I have no idea how you would get billed for apps. With a nook or an iPad, you just can use gift cards, but I have never seen an Android gift card. Do you get a bill in the mail, or online? I'm just confused.

A. You get billed the same way you get billed on any Android device, Google Market. Whenever you first open the market, you have to set up a Google Market account which becomes linked with your GMail account so that you don't have to pay for the same apps if you have to wipe or get a different device. Google Market uses your credit or debit cards to pay for things.

How do you connect wifi to a MID android tablet?
Q. I recieved a MID android OS tablet as a gift. It is Android 1.6 kernell version 2.6.29 and I can't connect it to my wifi station. I have worked with it for hours and all other devices read the wifi, but the tablet doesn't. Any suggestions?

A. This particular model of Android Tablet requires a 802.11b/g Wi-Fi network connection in order to function. I suggest checking out what frequency your router is broadcasting on. If it is an N router you are out of luck. If it is a multi-frequency router try isolating b or g frequencies.
