Q. I am going to China for five months and I would like to get an e-reader/tablet before I go.
I am considering either a Nook Color or a Kindle Fire- I want to be able to download books easily and use the internet feature to check my email. Which is easier and cheaper to use (especially for the book downloads) in China?

A. Kindle fire would probably be the better option. Take a look at this Review, should help you out on this decision:
http://www.amazon.com/review/RD5DFMKJBG9PV?ie=UTF8&ASIN=B0051VVOB2&nodeID=&ref_=cm_cr_pr_perm&_encoding=UTF8&tag=adkisa-20&linkCode=ur2&camp=1789&creative=390957
The fact that Kindle fire has:
- A faster dual core processor while nook only has 800Mhz single core processor
- Kindle fire has the newer version of android with customized UI while the nook color has an older version
- Kindle fire would not lag while nook color may lag.
Books can be downloaded for both Using the wifi connection. So that should not be a problem. Plus if you have a US address on your account, you would be able to get most out of your Kindle fire even outside US but some features may not work like streaming and cloud storage.
Here you would be able to find the Kindle fire:

But if you prefer Nook color because of the fact that it has a cheaper price tag then here you would be able to find the best price for it:

When is ASUS or any other brand bringing out quad core tablets?
Q. I wanna knw whether to purchase the dual core nw or wait a couple of months?
A. The first quad core tablets using the Tegra 3 by Nvidia are slated for end of this year, or sometime in the first quarter of next year. I read a lot in the area of mobile tech, and I am also excited for the new quad cores. I will say though, unless you are into gaming on a tablet you will more than likely not see much difference between the dual and quad core tablets. Infact, I am sure you will see zero difference. Just like the mobile phone arena, technology changes quickly. I am just saying, there is always a better tablet/phone/computer right around the corner. If you wait for the best, you'll be waiting a long time.
Hold the press, I just found an article from today actually. http://www.3g.co.uk/PR/Oct2011/zte-launching-first-tegra-3-android-tablet.html Apparently ZTE is launching the first Tegra 3 No launch date set yet, but they do have it. So perhaps the end of year projection for Kal El (Tegra 3) is spot on.

when you cant choose between a kindle fire and a tablet which should you choose?
Q. When you can't choose between a Kindle Fire and a Vizio tablet which should be chosen?
A. hi Ciarra, Vizio tablet is cheaply made with poor support while Kindle Fire is a known lemon with ton of problems. Did you know that often reported problems with Kindle Fire are that it runs hot to touch, video playback is jerky, touch screen is not responsive and it takes 2-3 touches to register, power button placement is very poor and is prone to accidental power off, all the hype of Silk browser is not true where the browsing is actually slower than on other Android tablets, Wi-Fi connection gives a lot of trouble to users on it, etc.
I can recommend Nook Tablet in the same price range. Nook Tablet is much better without a doubt, it's a class above Kindle Fire in the same price range. All pro reviewers on the web clearly voiced that Nook Tablet is a much better device with superior performance compared to Kindle Fire. It's got Netflix, Hulu, Pandora, Angry Brids (and thousands more apps in Nook app store), the best battery life (30% better than Fire), the best non-glare laminated screen (no lamination on very reflective Fire screen), double the RAM and space for apps/photos/movies than on Fire, microSD slot and a microphone for Skype (not on Fire), physical volume controls on the side (not on Fire), very smooth video playback with excellent screen, and very fast apps load (unlike on Fire). Nooks already have Cloud as your ebooks and apps that you get from Barnes & Noble and 3rd parties are stored in your online library as well as downloaded to your device. You can get Nooks at all the places where Kindle is sold - like BestBuy, Target, Staples - besides Barnes & Noble stores.
One pro side by side review to check out:
ENGADGET
Both devices rock 1GHz dual-core processors, but the Nook has an edge here, with its 1GB of RAM to the Fire's 512MB -- and certainly the difference is noticeable, even when booting up something as simple as a game like Angry Birds. Things are even more pronounced during video playback. We took Shutter Island for a spin via Netflix streaming on both devices, and it was really like night and day. Motion is far less choppy on the Barnes & Noble device. The HD playback on the Nook also picked up subtle imagery like patterns on ties, which were largely lost on the Fire

Is there any point for someone who owns a laptop to buy a tablet?
Q. Thinking about buying a tablet, but is it really worth while if you already have a laptop?
A. Of course yes, i am owner of laptop and a tablet also and i will say that tablets ease computing more than laptop do, they are best on the go, i.e while you are travelling, and in tablets my suggestion for you will be to buy the awesome Samsung Galaxy 10.1 inch tab having:
