How to register tablet to my google play store?
Q. So, im new with tablets.. I bought a new tablet but it didnt have the google play store pre-installed and i want to get apps but i go to the play store website but my phone is only register, i dont know how to register my tablet
A. you need to flash what's called a GApps package in recovery mode. it's free. if i had the model (even just brand, like nextbook pro) i'd be able to help you.
google signs deals with phone makers for the use of their GApps. i'm not exactly sure why, but on some cheaper tablets, some manufacturers don't sign the contract with google for GApps
here, this is the standard method. it should work.
1. determine the version of Gapps you need ( based on your android version and the screen type of your tablet (probably HDPI or XHDPI).
2. download it from here http://goo.im/gapps/ (you can use the search function to find your device
3. copy the zip file (do not unzip it) to the root (first folder) of your tablet, rename it to update.zip
4. shut the tablet off
5. start the tablet up holding either Power + down, Power + up, or power + up + down.
6. a menu should appear it has to look similar to this http://files.tested.com/uploads/0/1507/20032-3904476201_164d0538a0.jpg
7. choose install update from SD card or apply update.zip, depending on which is available
8. choose the package you copied earlier
9. scroll down to yes, select it.
10. press reboot system now, if everything worked out, you should see "android is upgrading"
11. add your google account to the device.

How do I convince my dad to get me a Nook Tablet instead of a Nook Color?
Q. I intend to compensate him fully for the additional $50 cost that he would be paying for the Color.
Plus, with the 15% coupon and the membership deal, the price for the Tablet is lowered to around $180.
Which is $60 cheaper.
The hardware is just significantly superior, and it has so many more capabilities that suit my purposes. However, he still stands on this, despite the fact that I would be perfectly willing to pay for any additional expenses he would have, if necessary.

A. One option is to get the Nook Color, then purchase online an "N2A" card (about $40) which converts the Nook into an Android tablet. One word of caution: doing this may void the Nook's warranty.
Are tablets good for storing and playing music?
Q. I have an iPod touch and I have a Dell computer (yes, they suck lol). I am tired of my computer crashing or something being wrong were my iTunes and iPod cannot update each other. So, I am looking into tablets to see if they are the best deal for my music. What I am asking is are there any tablets that stand out for music? I just mostly want to use it for music so I don't keep losing my songs.
I am not really interested in the iPad (any generation). I have the Samsung Galaxy S2 Skyrocket for a phone and love the Andriod system.
Thank you!

A. I wouldn't use an ipad or ipod as the primary storage media for my music. The main reason is that Apple is pretty draconian regarding what it allows you to do with your media. For example, my music collection got wiped out and I tried to copy the data from my ipod to my computer but Itunes doesn't allow that. It only allow you to sync songs and it doesn't allow you to move things off your device very easily. I love my ipad, but not a music content manager. Android tablets would be better for this because they just look like an external hard drive so you can easily organize your songs and move them back and forth between your pc and your tablet. They also give you more storage capability normally as a lot of them support SD and USB storage expansion whereas with the ipad and ipod you are limited in storage to what you bought it with.
Hope this helps!
