can a android tablet connect to internet without a local area network available?
Q. Please try to clarify your response to THE BEST OF YOUR ABILITY.... i'm trying to find out if the Google Android Tablet has wifi built in like the Droid does.
A. There isn't "A google android tablet" there are many. 99% of them are WiFi enabled which means you will be able to connect to the internet with them if you are in range of a wireless network to which you have access such as your home, office or school network or one of the many thousands of WiFi hotspots in public places. In order to connect without a WiFi network you need a 3g connection which the more expensive android tablets can do. Tablets such as the Samsung Galaxy tab and the commtiva N700 will take a 3g sim which allows you to surf the net anywhere you have a 3g signal.
Some WiFi only tablets are compatible with 3g mobile broadband dongles which do the same job but stick out the side of your tablet.

any things need to keep in mind before I buy an android tablet?
Q. I gonna to get an android tablet. Ive seen some cheap tablets online, is there any things I need to keep in mind before I buy it? Like whats the different with android 2.3, android 3.0, android 4.0?
A. Android tablets can be sold with Wi-Fi only or with 3G or 4G wireless data access. Often they're sold at a discount in exchange for a contract with a cellular service provider, just like phones. Check the fine print when you check the price to see if you're committed to two years of payments on top of the price of the device, and check to see just how much data that buys you. Tablets can use more bandwidth than phones, so you'll need a plan that expands if you need it. such as likedigi.com, they have the android tablet with wifi only or with 3G or 4G, you could go and have a check.
